Privacy Policy

AgentCredential is a directory of licensed professionals, run by Bloom Ventures. This page explains what information we handle, where it comes from, what we do with it and how to reach us. If something here is unclear, email hello@agentcredential.com.

Information in profiles

Profiles are built from public records published by government licensing authorities, such as state departments of insurance, state real estate regulators and the IRS. A profile shows what the source publishes about the license: the person's name, license or producer number, license type and lines of authority, status, key dates, the city on record, and which source it came from and when.

Some of those records also include a business email, phone number or street address. We keep those details privately and, today, use them for one thing only: checking that someone claiming a profile is the licensed person. They are never shown on the site, never available through our public pages or API, and never sold. If we ever want to use them any other way, we will update this policy first and follow the law that applies, including a working way to opt out.

Information you give us

  • Your email address, when you sign in. We send a one-time code to it; there are no passwords.
  • Claim details, such as a note you add so we can confirm the profile is yours.
  • Profile submissions from agents in states we do not list yet: license state and number, name, lines of authority, city and NPN.
  • Contact details you choose to publish on a claimed profile (business phone, email, website). You can change or remove them at any time.
  • Reports you send about a profile. An email address is optional.

Cookies and similar data

  • Sign-in cookies keep you signed in after you enter your code.
  • A referral cookie on the sign-up and claim pages remembers how you found us (for example, a shared link or campaign tag) for up to 60 days, so we know which links bring agents in.
  • Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are used, with cookies set by Google. We remove email addresses from page addresses before anything is sent, and we have turned off Google's advertising features. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use information

  • To run the directory and keep it accurate.
  • To verify claims and agent-created profiles before they go live.
  • To send emails you need: sign-in codes, and updates about your claim, submission or report.
  • To handle corrections and removal requests.
  • To prevent abuse and keep the site secure.

We do not sell personal information.

Who helps us run the site

We use a small number of service providers who process data only to provide their service to us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Netlify (hosting), Resend (sending email), Google Analytics (visit statistics) and Google Workspace (our inbox). We may also share information when the law requires it.

Corrections and removal

Every profile has a "Report an issue / request removal" button, and no sign-in is needed to use it. We handle reports within days. When we remove a profile at someone's request, we also add it to a do-not-list register so it does not come back the next time we refresh data from the source. If a licensing record itself is wrong, the issuing authority is the place to fix it, and our profile will follow on the next refresh.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, claim or submission. Email hello@agentcredential.com from the address you use with us. We keep account and claim records while your profile is active, and delete them when you ask unless we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation.

Children

AgentCredential is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, private record details are locked away from the public parts of the site, and only a small number of people at AgentCredential can see them. No system is perfect, so please tell us right away if you notice anything wrong.
